Annual Genealogy Conference

Another Genealogy Conference Co-Sponsored by the Virginia Beach Genealogical Society has passed.

The Society would like to thank the Norfolk Public Library for assisting and partnering with our organization at the recent Genealogical Conference that was held on Saturday-October 22, 2016 at the Slover Library in Norfolk, Virginia.

The Conference was a huge success.  The final count of attendees was 125 persons who attended the genealogy conference. All those who attended praised the quality of the classes presented and it helped many attendees answer unknown questions about genealogy research.  The Keynote speaker Paul Woodbury gave a excellent presentation on the use of DNA in genealogy.

The Virginia Beach Genealogical Society and the Norfolk Public Library have set into motion plans for next Genealogical Conference.  The conference will be a two day event from Friday-October 27, 2017 through Saturday-October 28, 2017.

Please check back after the beginning of the new year for details about future conference, programs, and the planned speakers.
